QPR's Week in Review

Names of the week: Lee Cook...Lee Camp...Michael Mancienne....Jimmy Smith...Celtic

All week, it was reported that Lee Camp was set to join QPR (Chairman Paladini the previous week had said he hoped he'd be signed by the Celtic game). Camp played for Derby and the strong reports continue. But as of yet, no QPR signing actually announced.

Michael Mancienne seemingly proved the rumours correct by joining QPR onloan - only for it turn out to be a slight case of premature ejubiliation on the part of QPR! Original QPR Statement - Chelsea Statement - Revised QPR statement QPR Squad List

One that may have gotten away: Chelsea's Jimmy Smith who was on loan at QPR for much of last season, and whom it was strongly rumoured would be returning for another loan, joined Norwich on loan.

On the field, QPR lost 5-1 to Celtic and later in the week, a closed door game at the training ground saw QPR lose 2-1 to Barnet. (Game reported on the Barnet site but not on the QPR site.) QPR Youth drew 3-3 with Crystal Palace youth. And pitch improvements at the training ground - Announcement
