BLUES NEW STARS SET FOR Q.P.R.
23 July 2007 - By Dale Hurman

The only chance to catch all the new signings in action at Adams Park before the new season is on Saturday 28th July 2007, when the Blues take on Q.P.R. (k.o.3pm).
The match heralds the return of former Blues' boss John Gregory, who managed the Blues between October 1996 and February 1998. He left to manage Premiership Aston Villa, spending four years at Villa Park. Before being appointed at Loftus Road he had a short spell as boss of Derby County.
Gregory also spent four years at Loftus Road as a player between 1981 and 1985 and followed in the footsteps of Mike Keen, who played for the West Londoners for over ten years, winning the third division title and the league cup. He then became Blues' boss in 1980, winning the Isthmian League championship in 1982/83.
The two clubs enjoyed some eventful league encounters for three successive seasons in Division Two with the Wanderers remaining unbeaten at Adams Park.
Queens Park Rangers will be fielding their strongest line-up, which includes midfielder Lee Cook, once of Aylesbury United, who is interesting former Wanderers' boss Lawrie Sanchez at Fulham. Q.P.R. Chairman Gianni Paladini has however said that he won't allow Cook to be sold for under £10million.
Alongside Cook will be the likes of Gareth Ainsworth, Stefan Moore, new signing Danny Nardiello and the subject of interest from Blues' rivals Colchester United, striker Ray Jones.
Paul Lambert will send out his latest signing, Scottish International midfielder Gary Holt, together with goalkeeper Scott Shearer, defenders Jack Obersteller, Craig Woodman, David McCracken and Leon Johnson and midfielders Martin Bullock and Derek Duncan.
Striker John Sutton is also likely to feature against the Championship side.
