Trashing QPR

-
Reaching about the half-way mark in the "Talent from Trash" recycling initiative, there is still time to take part. Perhaps because QPR's involvement in the initiative was never announced on the Official Site (unlike with all or most of the other clubs involved) there has been very little QPR fan participation. The prize money is obviously relatively insignificant, but with "Global Warming" resulting in a Nobel Peace Prize this year, it's a win-win, admittedly minor, but painless thing to do.

As noted back in Early September "QPR Taking Part in "Talent From Trash" and QPR Join In Against Trash"
"QPR are one of 13 clubs (Accrington Stanley, Brentford, Burnley, Cardiff City, Coventry City, Huddersfield Town, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest, QPR, Southampton, Swansea City, Swindon Town and Wycombe Wanderers) taking part in the Coca-Cola recycling "Talent from Trash" Competition which was announced last week [the beginning of September] by the Football League Talent From Trash [Presumably soon to be announced on the QPR Official Site]

TALENT FROM TRASH - What is Talent from Trash?
‘Talent from Trash’ is a recycling initiative to encourage you to recycle your household waste and in doing so earn money for your favourite participating Football League Club’s youth programme. Who said recycling was boring?
We want you to make a pledge every day to recycle more and we’ll reward you for your efforts. Together, you and your friends and family can raise up to £18,000 for youth development at your local participating Football League Club.
And it’s not just your team who’ll benefit. Each time you make a daily pledge, you are entered in to a free prize draw; the lucky winner will net their Club an extra £10,000 and win a personal reward of £5,000!
Plus! If you make more pledges for your Club than anyone else, you’ll score ‘a money can’t buy’ prize from your Club!
Your Club can earn between £200 and £1,000 each week depending on the number of pledges received. So, make a pledge every day and encourage your friends and family to get behind your Club and do the same.
Recycle More
Your Club can also win a one–off prize of between £1,000 and £6,000 if the level of recycling in your community increases throughout the autumn compared to the same time last year.
Make a pledge every day, get recycling more and in a few years you could tell everyone that you helped a rising star through your team’s ranks!
The promotion runs for 12 weeks from midday 5th September 2007 – midday 28th November 2007. Please see terms and conditions for full details. Talent from Trash
