-
The Morgan Twins - Roger & Ian - Turn Sity-One!
Born November 14, 1946: Identical twins Roger and Ian Morgan were two of a handful of players who put that unique stamp on QPR in the 1966-1968 period. And the devestation fans felt when Roger was sold to Spurs in February 1969 for a then club record fee 100,000 pounds (at a time when the British transfer record was 150,000 pounds.) And Ian Morgan was left behind, with rumours of him joining his brother at Spurs, later.
And the first game Roger played for Spurs after his transfer: Against QPR!
While with Spurs, ROger played for the England U-21 team; Ian didn't. Ian eventually joined Watford in October 1973, for 10,000 pounds.
Both made their QPR debuts in the 1964/65 season. Ian a few weeks earlier. Roger played in the League Cup Final (and scored). Ian was a non-playing sub. In total: Roger Morgan made 200+ appearances for QPR, scoring 39 goals. Ian played almost 200 games, scoring 26 goals. Born

Ex-QPR & England Goalie, Chris Woods Turns 48: Born November 14, 1959
Signed by Tommy Docherty from Nottingham Forest for 250,000 pounds - before he'd played a League game, Woods played a season and a half for QPR before Terry Venables sold him on to Norwich - probably Venables' biggest transfer mistake he made at QPR. (Venables then went out and bought John Burridge: Good but no England Goalie). After QPR, Woods played 43 times for England. Career See also: Wikipedia/Chris Woods
