Snippets: Mick Harford Luton's Manager, Warren Neil Assistant Manager...Balanta Signs...Stewart's Jamaica Call Up

In a press conference at Kenilworth Road on Wednesday afternoon Luton Town Football Club announced that Mick Harford has been appointed as the new Manager until the end of the season, replacing Kevin Blackwell.
Former Portsmouth and QPR defender Warren Neill will be the new Assistant Manager.
Harford, who will need little introduction to Hatters fans, will take charge of the side for the first time on Saturday when Luton travel to seventh placed Leyton Orient.

I have brought in Warren Neill, he played at QPR and Portsmouth. He brings with him a lot of experience and coaching. He has been at QPR looking after their youth yeam for five years. When I was Caretaker Manager at QPR, Warren became my Caretaker Assistant Manager. We have a good relationship and he is a fantastic coach. He knows what it takes to win football matches." Luton

Teenage striker Angelo Balanta has put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract with Queens Park Rangers Football Club.
The 17 year-old Colombian, who has made three appearances since graduating from the Under-18 squad earlier this season, has inked a deal that keeps him at the Club until the summer of 2010.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Balanta said: "It has always been a dream of mine to become a professional footballer.
"I am very grateful to the Club and especially Mr De Canio, who has shown his faith in me already this season.
"I just want to go on and establish myself in his First Team plans as soon as possible." QPR

R's defender Damion Stewart has been called up to represent Jamaica.
The 27 year-old, who has scored five goals in all competitions already this season, has been selected for the Reggae Boyz' forthcoming international friendlies against Costa Rica (February 6th) and Trinidad & Tobago (March 26th). QPR
