QPR OFFICIAL SITE - MID-SEASON TRAINING CAMP
The QPR First Team squad jetted off to Portugal today (Thursday) for an intensive five-day training camp on the Algarve.
Flanked by Chairman Gianni Paladini and First Team Coach Luigi De Canio and his backroom staff, the 30-man party arrived at the luxurious Ria Park Hotel and Spa this morning.
Located in the Algarve, the Ria Park Hotel and Spa is based in the exclusive resort of Vale de Lobo.
Set in a ravishing green valley overlooking beautiful sandy beaches and the blue Atlantic Ocean, the hotel boasts its own training facilities and gymnasium.
De Canio, who believes the trip will pay dividends when the R's return to competitive action against Sheffield United next weekend, told www.qpr.co.uk: "We're not playing any matches, but it will certainly not be a holiday camp. We will train every day and it will be very intense.
"Furthermore, it provides a very good opportunity for our new-look squad to bond with each other."
From tomorrow (Friday), both the QPR World cameras and www.qpr.co.uk will be following the QPR squad every step of the way in Portugal.
Ranging from player interviews to exclusive picture galleries, we will be leaving no stone unturned to provide you - the fans - with all the latest news from the South Coast of Portugal.
