Lakshmi Mittal: QPR's Partial owner, Lakshmi Mittal profiled in today's Observer. "....Mittal is proud to be Indian, but he considers himself a 'global citizen'. Despite his immense wealth - his family's 44 per cent stake in ArcelorMittal worth £24bn - he doesn't seek the limelight: you won't see him at Ascot, Wimbledon or the Proms, although he does attend football matches, after buying 20 per cent of London club QPR, where Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone is also on the board..."

Mittal Update - "Steel tycoon Mittal, Britain's richest man, joins board of Goldman Sachs" "Lakshmi Mittal, Britain's wealthiest man, has joined the board of the Wall Street banking giant Goldman Sachs, where his role will include overseeing bankers' remuneration and corporate governance....Mr Mittal settled in London in 1995 ...Last year he followed the path of another billionaire, Roman Abramovich, in not only moving to London but buying into a local football club. Mr Mittal joined his friends Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone on the board of QPR in December after he bought a 20 per cent stake in the club." Independent

SkySports/Juha Pal - Buzsaky eyes September return
QPR midfielder Akos Buzsaky is hoping to make his return to action in September.
The 26-year-old will miss the start of the new Championship season after undergoing ankle surgery earlier this month.
Buzsaky has been informed by new manager Iain Dowie he is an important player for the team next term, although the former Charlton boss will not rush the Hungarian ace back into action.
"The surgery went well," Buzsaky told Skysports.com. "I expect that I'll be fully fit for the beginning of September.
Impress
"I want to impress. I've already spoken to our new manager Iain Dowie who's told me that he's expecting a lot from me, but stressed that he wants me healthy first.
"Then he is going to find the best way to build me into the team as soon as possible."
The former Plymouth Argyle man, who joined from Rangers permanently in January, has backed his decision to leave Home Park for Loftus Road.
Decision
"I made a good decision when I accepted the offer of QPR last year, I had a wonderful season here," he continued.
"I also felt good in Plymouth but after three years I needed a change.
"Plymouth is a great place but London is completely different, I think this change had a very good effect on me." Sky Sports

Sunday People - DOWIE PLOTS DEAL FOR PAL JOHNSON
Qpr boss Iain Dowie is planning to hijack Middlesbrough's move for his old pal Andy Johnson (pictured). Dowie, who was AJ's manager at Crystal Palace, is desperate to rekindle his partnership with the Everton striker.
Wigan boss Steve Bruce also wants to nab the eight-cap frontman and a call from the Latics would mean Johnson would not have to up sticks. The player has also been linked with West Ham. Sunday People
