The Sun - Fulham Want Ben Watson
"...FULHAM aim to see off QPR and sign Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson for £500,000 in January." The Sun

Charles Sale/The Mail "...Loyal secretary rammed out
- It's perhaps more than coincidence that Derby, whose American owners are acting with the same mixture of paranoia and ruthlessness behind the scenes as the Flavio Briatore regime at QPR, have also parted company with a respected long-serving secretary.
- Sheila Marson, sacked by QPR, was at Loftus Road for over 20 years while Derby's Marian McMinn has left without any fanfare for cost-cutting reasons. She served for over 30 years since joining when Brian Clough was boss." The Mail

From QPR Italia Blog - "Breaking news! :)
- In the next Viareggio tournament, known also as "Coppa Carnevale", and from this year known as "Viareggio Cup World Football Tournament - Coppa Carnevale", there will be the QPR young team!
- It's a great chance for Italians to watch the young Hoops in one of the most important youth tournament in all world.
- The entire list of participants is not known, but QPR will surely be in the tournament.
- Inter (last winner), Juventus (winner from 2003 to 2005) and Milan are other predictable participants, along with the best european and south american youth teams.
- The Tournament will take place from 9 to 23 February 2009 in the Stadio dei Pini in Viareggio (that will also host the final) and in several sports grounds in Lucca's province or close to it.
- So, we'll be in touch to know precisely grounds and dates of the QPR matches, in the meantime we'll grow eager to watch our youth team and we're preparing our voices to make them feel our support. YOU RRRRRRR'S! QPR Italia

Meanwhile it's QPR vs Bristol City tonight in the FA Youth Cup.

Bristol Evening Post - Bristol City's young guns are not scared of QPR trip – Clayton
- John Clayton insists Bristol City's young guns will not be fazed by the prospect of strutting their stuff on the big stage.
Knocked out by eventual winners Manchester City last season, City's Under-18s renew their quest for FA Youth Cup glory when they take on Queens Park Rangers in West London on Wednesday (7pm).
- And Robins Academy manager Clayton reckons playing at Loftus Road will inspire his teenage charges rather than inhibit them.
- The reason? City's youngsters know a thing about playing and winning on the big stage after stunning Everton at Goodsion Park at the same stage of last season's competition.
- "The lads are right up for this one and playing at Loftus Road will give them all a massive boost," declared Clayton, who has steered City to the last 16 in each of the past two seasons.
"Loftus Road is one of the name grounds in English football and it's something different for the boys. Far from being scared of it, they're loooking forward to it.
"They could have been overawed playing at Goodison last year, instead of which they actually rose to the big occasion and won 2-0."
- Rangers employ a Centre of Excellence rather than an Academy, but their youth team, managed by former Wycombe midfielder Steve Brown, is top of the South East Combination and Clayton expects a tough game.
- He admitted: "It's a tricky tie because QPR are going very well at the moment, but our lads are looking forward to the challenge."
- Clayton will assess the fitness of Australian striker Rob Stambolziev (thigh) and midfielder Danny Ball (shin) before finalising his line-up. Bristol Evening Post
