Camp Speaks - Nottingham Forest Official Site - Billy Appeal Lures Camp
- The opportunity to work again for Billy Davies was the key factor behind Lee Camp's desire to join Nottingham Forest.
- The 24 year old finally got his wish today as he signed a four-year contract after Forest paid Queens Park Rangers an undisclosed fee.
- Camp played briefly under Davies for Derby and had another taste of the Scot's methods last season during his loan spell at The City Ground.
- And he told us: "I enjoyed the time I had on loan with Forest and built up a good rapport with the fans.
- "But the big thing for me is Billy - I know what he's all about and what he'll want to do and how he will approach things.
- "And having worked with him and his backroom staff before, it all fits.
- "It ticks every box and although being at home and closer to my family is important to me as well, essentially my motivation was to come and play for Nottingham Forest."
- The former England Under 21 international made 15 loan appearances for The Reds last season and had hoped the two clubs would strike a deal during the January transfer window.
- That never materialised and Camp is happy his patience has been rewarded.
- He added: "There's always a doubt that a deal won't go through but I had pretty much made up my mind as soon as I knew the club were interested.
- "I've worked with Billy before and know what he's all about. I'm very excited, am pleased that it's all done and dusted and can't wait for it to start." Nottingham Forest

- The 24 year-old, who spent time on loan at The City Ground last season, has put pen to paper on a four year deal with The Reds.
- In total, Camp - who enjoyed two loan spells at Loftus Road prior to signing a permanent deal in the summer of 2007 - has made 76 appearances for the R's.
- The Club would like to place on the record its thanks to Lee for his contribution to QPR and wish him all the best for the future." QPR

Nottingham Forest Official Site - Camp - Deal Done
- Lee Camp has finalised his return to Nottingham Forest.
- The former England Under 21 international today signed a four-year City Ground contract after Forest paid Queens Park Rangers an undisclosed fee for his services.
- Camp, who spent three month of last season on loan with The Reds, completed the formalities of the deal this morning after undergoing a medical last night.
- The 24 year old is Forest's fourth signing of the week, which kicked-off with the £1million acquisition of David McGoldrick from Southampton, followed by confirmation of Dele Adebola's free transfer switch from Bristol City and then Paul Anderson's £250,000 move from Liverpool.
- Camp made 15 appearances for Forest while on loan last season and is relishing the prospect of a return to his native East Midlands." Nottingham Forest

QPR Official Site JIM: 'WE'VE GOT IRONS IN THE FIRE'
- Jim Magilton believes the R's are making 'good progress' in their pursuit for new players, but insists he won't be forced into panic buys.
- Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk in the wake of Damien Delaney's move to Ipswich Town and Lee Camp's imminent switch to Nottingham Forest, Magilton said: "We're progressing nicely on the transfer front.
- "We've got a few irons in the fire, but I'm not just going to bring players in for the sake of it.
- "Of course there are areas of the squad that need strengthening, but I said from the first day I arrived here that I would give every player a chance to impress me and that hasn't changed one bit
.
- "Rest assured though, we're working extremely hard behind-the-scenes to bring the right footballers in to this Club."
- Magilton added: "I've been impressed with the lads in the opening couple of pre-season sessions and long may that continue.
- "There's a great work ethic amongst the squad and both myself and John (Gorman) have been really impressed by the desire of the group and the will-to-win ethic that appears to be on show."
- On the departure of Delaney and Camp's proposed move to The City Ground, Magilton added: "I think both players decided their futures lied away from QPR long before I arrived here.
- "I didn't have the chance to work with either player, but they've been good servants to the Club and I wish them all the best for the future." QPR
