Marlon King to QPR?

- As the possibility of Marlon King to QPR has grown from Tabloid speculation to at least a reasonable possibility - and at a minimum, something that QPR are seriously considering and even attempting to make happen, quite a number of QPR Fans on the various QPR Fan Messageboards are expessing their strong opposition. This opposition is obviously far from unanimous - it may not even be the view of the "silent majority" (no way of telling); but it's certainly far more than the usual difference of views over the quality of any "normal" signing or potential signing. There have been rumours/reports that King has actually been training with QPR.
- {This is the thread on the QPR Report Messageboard. But every QPR Messageboard has a thread (or threads) on the topic. Some suggest that those opposed should contact the club and let the club know their views.]

Mail - QPR boss Neil Warnock considering move for shamed striker Marlon King By Sportsmail Reporter
- Neil Warnock is ready to hand disgraced Marlon King a route back into football at QPR.
- King is looking for a club after being serving nine months in prison for assaulting a woman in a nightclub.
QPR boss Warnock admits he would consider a move for the former Watford, Hull and Wigan striker, saying: 'We haven't got a 20-goal-a-season man and you do need one.
- 'He has served his time and we live in a country that we say when they have served their time give them another opportunity.
- 'He is a good player and I think he will score goals.'
- King was given an 18-month sentence last October after being convicted of assault and GBH following a brutal attack on student Emily Carr, which left the pretty blonde with a broken nose.
Warnock added: 'I am not condoning what he has done but I look at some of the other cases of players who have got into trouble in the past.
'People have killed people and they never got the stick this lad has got. Whoever takes him he will want to prove himself.' Mail
