WBA Official Site - Miller staying put for now
Sat 05 Mar 2011
- ROY Hodgson admits he is monitoring Ishmael Miller - but has no immediate plans to recall the Baggies striker from his loan spell at QPR.
- The new head coach is happy for Miller to continue building on the seven appearances he has made for the Hoops since his January switch.
- The Baggies retain the right to recall Miller from his loan at any time.
- "We've only got two games in March and there's even a risk we might not have the Arsenal game if they draw with Manchester United in the FA Cup," said Hodgson.
- "I'm interested in Miller and we're following him closely.
- "But rather than bring him back here for a month's training, Neil Warnock's using him at QPR.
- "He's playing on a regular basis and I'm happy for him to stay there.
- "But we reserve the right to perhaps bring him back for the run-in, in April and May."
- Meanwhile, Hodgson, who has now been in the job for three weeks, says he knows what his best team is..." WBA
